About Amy
With nearly 30 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to supporting children's learning and emotional well-being. I spent 22 years teaching in schools across London and Shropshire before training as a Play Therapist. For the past 5 years, I have helped children thrive through evidence-based therapeutic approaches that support mental health and emotional resilience. As a parent of a child with trauma and autism, I bring deep personal understanding to my work with families and educators. I combine lived experience with the latest neuroscience to help adults make sense of children's behaviour and respond with compassion and effectiveness. In partnership with Shropshire Training Partnership, I deliver professional training for schools, including:
- Neuroscience of Behaviour - Understanding and supporting challenging behaviour in the classroom
- Playful Connection - A therapeutic, attachment-based approach for teachers and teaching assistants
